"Thousands Grab Ropes to Jump into the Record Books"
In today's Bay Area section of
the San Francisco Chronicle is an article about 200 students at the San
Francisco School who were participating in a challenge to see if they
could "jump" their way into the Guinness Book of World Records for
jumping rope. Collectively participating with them were 85,000 others
at 2,000 different schools in the Bay Area and California; attempting to
break the record collectively set by 43,772 jumper in Britain, set in
June. Wether they beat the record as it will take weeks to verify all
the data, San Francisco School physical education teacher, Gilbert Bagaman, our own NCBOA member, pronounced the event a great success
and good exercise. To read more about this story and maybe even see a
picture of San Francisco School Athletic Director and NCBOA member, Tiffany Fong wrestling with putting away 200 jump ropes, see the article

to join others in the officiating community to support this worthy
cause. If you participated in this event by either donating a portion
